Their Music Brought Tears
Meet sister and brother duo – Nadia and Julian! Our Volunteer Coordinator, Cindy received an email from a mom who has two children that would love to volunteer by playing the violin for our Residents. Not knowing how well her children play, especially, with one just out of 8th grade and the other just finished her sophomore year of high school, Cindy asked the teens to stop by to play for her. They arrived, opened their cases, pulled out their violins and bows, and tuned up, and started to play.
Their music brought tears to Cindy’s eyes – these teens were outstanding! They each played their own part flawlessly, with the melodies weaving back and forth and harmonizing together…but more importantly they played with expression. Music has been part of their lives since they were very young. Our Residents and staff feel they have been graced with Nadia and Julian entertaining them, and hope they will continue to do so during the school year.
