O Here We Come a Caroling
It was a blustery cold day outside but that didn’t stop the warm hearts and the precious voices of the Girl Scouts from St. Theresa School. They arrived 40 strong, sporting antler and candy cane headbands. The 1st through 5th graders went room to room to bring Christmas cheer.
Karen Calloway from the Chicago Catholic Newspaper was here and joined the group to record the event for the newspaper. Click here to view the feature in the Chicago Catholic.
Although they may be small in stature, the lively, jovial voices of the Girl Scouts filled our large Home with the sweet sounds of Christmas. The joyful smiles on the faces of our Residents were contagious as many came out of their rooms to follow and listen to the girls singing their favorite carols.
Sometimes the best presents aren’t given wrapped in a box, but given in love through good works. Thank you, St. Theresa Girl Scouts, for giving us one of the best Christmas presents yet!
