A Swing and a Prayer Golf Outing
And, there were many prayers answered for a nice day, a successful event and a lot of fun! The Club at Wynstone – our golf home, once again opened up their hearts and their hospitality on Monday, September 13 for our 15th annual Swing and a Prayer Golf Outing.
After a delicious lunch the Sisters bid farewell and good luck to the sell-out crowd of golfers. For the next four and a half hours, our guests enjoyed this beautiful and challenging Jack Nicklaus signature designed course.
Among the favorite games on the course was the ever-popular Rubber Duck Drive. Many thanks to Joe Shade for sponsoring the contest and donating a “Joe Shade” as the prize.
Mid afternoon a busload of our apartment Residents arrived to enjoy refreshments on the patio and cheer on the golfers.
After dinner on the patio our guests responded generously to our Fund a Need appeal for funds allowing us to fix a broken elevator and to cover the cost of the many medical equipment and supply needs of our Residents.
Our most heartfelt thanks and grateful prayers go out to everyone who supported our Swing and a Prayer Golf Outing. With your help, this turned out to be the most successful golf outing we have ever hosted.
