2022 Swing and a Prayer
Sr. Mary Timothy was in charge of praying to St. Joseph for nice weather on September 19, for our Swing and a Prayer Golf Outing… and he didn’t let us down! It was a gorgeous day for our guests at the beautiful Club at Wynstone in North Barrington. As always, the staff provided exemplary service, delicious food and a challenging, perfectly manicured course.
The Sisters waved to our golfers, wishing them luck as they went out on the course.
Many golfers were surprised by the skill of the Little Sisters in the ever-popular Putt Against the Sister Contest.
Over the years, many techniques have been tried in another favorite – the Rubber Duck Drive Contest. But, Joe Olson must have it down. He was the winner for the second year in a row!
For the first time ever, we had two foursomes tie for the lowest score at -14. Congratulations to the Complete Cleaning Company team of Kevin Hitzeman, Sean Hitzeman, Mark Jamroz and Dave Wichman; and to Dr. Fred Rahimi, Guy Youman, Dr. Michael Ferrari and Robert Ferrari. Our famous banana bread was given out to all of our winners.
A special shout out goes to ‘Team LSP’, Cindy DeLuca (Volunteer Coordinator) and her husband Vic, Gaby Cordova (Activity Director) and Steve Sutter (Maintenance Supervisor) who represented St. Joseph’s Home staff.
It is always such a joy to be with our friends. We are so grateful for your friendship and support. We are so grateful to our sponsors and to everyone who participated. The money raised will go a long way to help the Little Sisters care for the elderly Residents at St. Joseph’s Home.
While we can never repay your kindness, a Mass will be offered for all of your intentions on Sunday, September 25 in our Chapel.
