My Country ‘Tis of Thee

  • July 25, 2011

St. Joseph’s Home Residents joined the nation in commemorating our great country by participating in the Palatine Hometown Festival Fourth of July Parade.  With the Knights of Columbus leading the way, our decorated bus followed through the streets of Palatine.  Residents wore their patriotic red, white and blue hats and proudly greeted the crowds by waving their flags. All along the parade route, the streets were lined with people who cheered and waved as our bus drove by. Back at Home, the Fourth of July celebration concluded with a good old fashion picnic on our patio and a patriotic sing-a-long that was enjoyed by all.
