Soft spring colors of peach and yellow highlighted the auditorium. Decorative teapots were removed from their display in the Activity Room and polished. Our eclectic collection of teacups and saucers were carefully unpacked and washed. Delicate spring flowers were arranged in vases. Preparations for our annual Mother/Daughter Tea were just about complete.
Each year we honor our Mothers and those ladies who are just like Mothers to us, with a Mother/Daughter Tea. This year’s Tea took place the day before Mother’s Day, on Saturday May 9th. The afternoon began with a reflection on motherhood and a prayer. Our guests were treated to special flavored teas, mini-cheesecakes, and mini-cream puffs, as our good friend Mike Domingue, the director of Music at St. Theresa Parish, entertained everyone with his exquisite crooning voice and violin.
As a special remembrance of the afternoon, each of our ladies and their guests were invited to have their portrait taken in front of a decorated arch.
