Our Residents were treated to gifts of love and chocolate on Valentine’s Day. The morning started with a visit from the Hersey High School “Love Bus.” Dozens of students entertained our Residents with cheers, baton twirling and song and dance performances.
The Association Jeanne Jugan spent the morning decorating the dining rooms with balloons and flowers for a special Valentine’s lunch. Along with special desserts, AJJ members handed out valentine cards that they tenderly made for each Resident. Upon leaving, every Resident was given a special gift as a remembrance of how much they are loved!
The afternoon continued with “CUPID” bingo as the “Be Mines” and “You are my Sweetheart” were shouted out instead of the usual numbers. The special treats culminated with a delicious chocolate fondue buffet. With their stomachs and hearts filled to overflowing, smiles adorned the faces of Residents as the warmth inside our Home permeated the piles of snow and cold winter air outside.
