Joining with our community, we braved the heat (in our air-conditioned bus) to celebrate the birth of our great nation in the Palatine Hometown Fest 4th of July Parade.
Proudly wearing our red, white and blue hats and holding a flag, we waved to the crowds as we drove through the streets.
It was one of the hottest days on record, but the 4th of July celebration was not to be diminished. The crowds came out to cheer and were delighted to greet Sr. Mary Gerard and summer interns, Emmy and Mariah, as they handed out candy along the way.
We are very proud to be Americans and it is our honor to serve our Residents who, through the fruits of their lives, have contributed to making our country a great place.
