Thanks Again to our Dear Knights
Our dear big brother Knights of Columbus Holy Ghost Council #4977 sponsored a water bottle drive for us last year. In the midst of the pandemic we needed to use bottled water for infection control purposes. The response was amazing! Over 12,000 bottles of water were collected for us. In addition, they presented us with a check for $11,500 to purchase more water when we ran out.
Last Saturday, they helped us again by organizing a drive-by food drop off. Once again, the response was overwhelming! While the Lord provided a beautiful sunny day, 229 cars and three bicycles stopped at our front door dropping off cash, food, paper goods, PPEs and cleaning supplies, during a four-hour period. Over 30 Knights unloaded the cars, while the Little Sisters and Residents greeted our generous donors.
A total of $8,000 and over $9,000 in food and products were donated. We are so blessed to have our big brother Knights of Columbus as a part of our St. Joseph Home Family!
