Patio Pizza Party!
When we got word that the Illinois Department of Public Health allowed us to enjoy the outside – observing social distance, we decided to have a pizza party with our apartment Residents. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect summer day to celebrate.
Mother Margaret mixed up some fun summer drinks, as we enjoyed appetizers, salad, pizza and some delicious desserts.
Brother Tom provided entertainment from his umbrella-covered stage.
It has been a long stretch of shelter-in-place. How wonderful it was to be outside and enjoy each other’s company!
We are so grateful to our St. Joseph’s Home family, who together have worked so hard to keep everyone safe and healthy! And, it is working – none of our Residents or Little Sisters have had the virus!
But, we know that we can’t let down our guard and we will continue to be diligent in wearing our masks, washing our hands and keeping our distance.
