It was a beautiful summer evening in Chicago and what better way to enjoy it than at the ballpark. Thanks to our dear friend, Bob Grim, Senior Director Broadcasting & Business Development for the Chicago White Sox, 12 of us were treated to a night at Guaranteed Rate Field to watch our favorite Chicago White Sox battle it out with the Cleveland Indians.
We couldn’t have felt more special than when Bob showed up to personally welcome us. Despite our cheers (and prayers), a “W” for the Sox wasn’t meant to be. While, a win would have made for a perfect night, we were delighted to enjoy our near-perfect evening. Our seats were great, the food was delicious and singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” gave us goosebumps!
It was almost midnight (way past most of our bedtimes) when we returned from Chicago’s Southside to our Home in Palatine. But, we didn’t mind a bit. It is summertime in Chicago and we loved to be with the 20,000 other White Sox fans cheering for our beloved Sox.
