Inspire Through Flowers
It was a normal Thursday fall afternoon at our Home. The sun was out and the fall colors outside were in full splendor. Soon our lobby would also be filled with an array of colors. Mid-afternoon Ellen Mink arrived and brought with her 73 bouquets made by the volunteers of “Inspire Through Flowers” for our staff.
Inspire Through Flowers is an IL not-for-profit, 501C3, service organization that creates floral Bouquets of Gratitude to honor staff in hospitals, nursing homes, 1st responders, and women’s organizations. They have 2 locations one in Wheeling and one in Evanston, with approximately 30-40 volunteers depending on each location.
Each bouquet was beautifully wrapped in a plastic sleeve and tissue paper with bows, with cards that thanked our staff for their amazing service.
The smiles were contagious – evident even behind masks, as each of our hard-working staff were given a bouquet. It has been a long fight against COVID and we are very proud of the dedication of our staff. Thank you Inspire Through Flowers for recognizing their commitment, and brightening their day!
