Happy New Year!
The New Year came early this year, as our ball dropped at 7:30 p.m.! We celebrated the joyous memories of the last decade and the anticipation of a new one with dinner, dancing, and bubbly, all to the sounds of a live guitar player.
In celebration of the evening, Mother Margaret made a signature drink, a peach and mango cocktail. One Resident reported the cocktail “was like drinking a slurpee!” We had a ball enjoying the wonderful music, good friends and the company of Father Time while sipping cocktails. Our wheelchairs, walkers or canes didn’t stop us from dancing the night away under the disco ball.
A congo line snaked throughout the room as we joined in for the final dance. At the stroke of (our) “midnight”, everyone cheered as we welcomed 2020. On cue as we lifted our glasses in a champagne toast, black, silver, and gold balloons cascaded from the ceiling.
While it’s hard to believe that another year has gone by, we are blessed beyond words to be among our dear St. Joseph’s Home family. May God Bless us all with a New Year filled with His love and peace.
Happy New Year!
