It takes many people working together to make our Home run “like a well-oiled machine”. Each person plays an important part in contributing to the operations and Spirit of St. Joseph’s Home. The whole can’t exist without each part.
We are grateful to our volunteers and staff who are an extension of the Little Sisters’ hands and hearts. The gifts they bring to their duties are what help take such good care of our Residents and maintain our Family Spirit. During this Christmas Season we took the opportunity to show our appreciation. On Tuesday, December 13, we had a luncheon for our many volunteers and on Thursday, December 15 we hosted a luncheon for our dedicated staff.
To show our appreciation, the Sisters and Residents serenaded both groups with a song – “God Bless You!” The volunteers were treated with a delicious meal and given an ornament and a “cookie in a jar” gift. At the employee luncheon(after an equally delicious meal), Janet Dorsey was recognized for her 40 years of service, along with several other employees celebrating milestone anniversaries.
We recognize that the understanding of our mission is a gift and are so grateful that our volunteers and staff share in our mission. Throughout the Christmas Season, we see the happiness of our Residents, as they give us so many opportunities to know, love and serve them. Together, we are making a difference living out the example of St. Jeanne Jugan.
God Bless You For All You Do
