It’s been a busy month as we prepare to celebrate Christmas. Our Christmas Open House was held on Sunday, December 10.
Our Home was bustling with excitement as family members, friends and new visitors strolled their way through the decorated hallways and rooms.
Sr. Mary Gerard greeted our guests on the driveway with freshly toasted s’mores.
Sr. Rose organized tours showcasing not only our Home but the 16 special themed decorated trees. Many elves arrived a few days earlier from California to transform these trees into stunning and whimsical works of art. From the angel tree in the lobby, to the curler ornaments on the beauty shops tree to the tea cups on the Tea Time tree, each tree was intricately designed and decorated.
Mother Margaret and many of our Residents welcomed the guests as they made their way through our Home. Several Residents graciously opened their doors for the visitors to see their rooms and apartments. In the auditorium, our Resident Santa visited with the young and old. Steaming hot chocolate with whipped cream and freshly baked Christmas cookies were served in the dining room.
After the open house, Santa stayed to greet the children and grandchildren of our employees at the annual St. Nick Party. We couldn’t help but smile as the excited squeals of the children filled the room.
