We are blessed to have countless numbers of Saints praying for us in heaven. On Thursday, November 1st, we were blessed to have 60 Saints in the making praying with us at Mass in our Chapel. The children of Our Lady Queen of Peace Homeschooling Group touched us with stories of their favorite saints and beautiful costumes.
The Saints that were represented came from all over the world, from our newest American saint St. Kateri Tekakwitha, to St. Jeanne Jugan and many many more. We were very impressed as we listened to the children tell us about their favorite Saint. Not only were their costumes stunning and very detailed, it was apparent that they had worked hard to learn about the lives of their saint.
Watching the beauty and innocent faith of these children, the words of St. Jeanne Jugan come to mind, “Little, very little, be very little before God.” In this Year of Faith, it gave us such great hope that our Catholic faith is alive and growing in our children – and by their example, inspiring us to grow in our faith.
