As Thanksgiving approaches, winter’s early sting has brought a chill to the air. But our hearts couldn’t be warmer, thanks to the generosity of the Very Reverend William De Salvo, V.F. and the parishioners of St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Hinsdale. In answer to our call for help to fill our Thanksgiving tables, they collected 130 turkeys through a curbside ‘turkey drop-off’ in front of their church before all of the Masses on November 15th and 16th. Last April, our dear friends at St. Isaac Jogues’ filled our shelves with a bounty of food they collected through their Seeds of Service Project.
In our unwavering faith in Divine Providence, we are gratefully aware that we will always need the help of others. The understanding of our mission and the generosity of the parishioners and staff at St. Isaac Jogues Parish is truly a gift.
Confident that there will be enough turkey, Sr. Grace and her expert kitchen staff are busy making preparations for a delicious Thanksgiving feast! We know that the joy of Thanksgiving lies not only in the delight of the feast, but also in the gratitude we feel for our families, benefactors and volunteers. Together, we bring happiness and hope to our Residents throughout the year! In our grateful prayers this Thanksgiving, we ask God’s blessings upon all of you!
