Living Stations
On Wednesday of Holy week, it has become a tradition to have the Living Stations of the Cross presented by a group of Homeschool children and parents. We were happy to welcome them back this year. While the prayerful and moving song, Watch the Lamb by Ray Boltz was played, the children and parents performed the Passion and crucifixion of Christ. Following the Stations, a large crucifix was brought out and held by three of our soldiers for adoration. Each person present was able to take as much time as they wanted to pray before the cross.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Our good friend Fr. Tim Fairman of St. Theresa’s Parish in Palatine presided over the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday. Following Mass, Fr. Tim led a procession bringing the Blessed Sacrament to a side altar for the Sacred Watch. Through midnight, we were able to pray and contemplate the time Jesus spent in the Garden of Gethsemane.
