Happy Mother’s Day!
Traditionally, Mother’s Day has been a joyfully celebrated weekend at our Home. Daughters, granddaughters, nieces and friends would join together for a Mother’s Day Tea. This year, as with many celebrations, was very different.
To honor our Mothers (and those ladies who are like Mothers to many) and brighten their day, a gracious benefactor ordered corsages. Our Activity Director, Gaby Cordova created beautiful baskets filled with flowers and gifts that was given to our grateful ladies.
Families, who could not visit this year because of the restrictions, sent cards and gifts. Some whimsical gifts included a stuffed animal kitty complete with a bed and a flower arrangement shaped like a teddy bear.
A Mother’s love in unconditional and has no boundaries and can even transcend a coronavirus lockdown. Each day we are inspired by the resilience of our ladies (and gentlemen) and how strong and faithful they continue to live, despite these challenging times. On this unusual Mother’s Day, we hope that they felt much love and appreciation.
