This wet stormy spring has been wonderful for our flowers and bushes- those that are already planted, that is. Our two raised flower beds framing the walkway entrance from the northwest parking lot have been waiting patiently for their turn to bloom into a beautiful garden.
With a break in the storms, we decided it was time. Thirteen Resident gardeners, staff and volunteers armed with gloves, hand spades and many green thumbs, set out to transform the beds of dirt into into masterpieces filled with new colorful life.
With an array of donated flowers, we perfectly spaced and tenderly planted our promising beauties. In record time (and before the next wave of rain was to arrive), gorgeous arrangements of colorful flowers burst from the beds. With the bountiful rain, the summer sun and proper nurturing, we are confident that this garden will prosper and grow.
We look forward to stopping by during our afternoon strolls to enjoy our handiwork and watch the flowers fill in and grow. The next time you visit, please think of us as you are welcomed by our cheery gardens.
